Kaorinite sent Nekonneru to extract a Pure Heart from a girl named Miharu who takes care of kittens. Just as she extracted the Pure Heart, she was attacked by Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, who left afterwards despite knowing Nekonneru was still alive. Nekonneru defeated the rest of the Sailor Senshi and strangled Usagi (who was unable to transform) with her tail, before Tuxedo Mask arrives to fight her. When all seemed lost, the power of the love between Usagi and Mamoru restored her transformation power and gave her the Spiral Heart Moon Rod, and Sailor Moon destroyed Nekonneru with Moon Spiral Heart Attack.
