Matilda Elsbury (née Foster; 28 September 1874 - 30 April 1985) was born in Kingsclere, England on 28 September 1874 as the daughter of David and Caroline Jewell Foster. She married Frederick Elsbury in January 1901 and had one child with him, Harold. After the deaths of both her son and her husband, Matilda moved to Basingstoke, Hampshire, England. Matilda died in Basingstoke, England on 30 April 1985, aged 110 years, 214 days.
