Jim Rhoades is a former NASCAR driver from Hanover, MD. He competed in six Nextel Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten. Rhoades' debut came in 1956, when he competed at Martinsville. Starting 27th in the field of thirty-five, Rhoades lost a tire early and finished 34th. Unfortunately, all of his five starts that year and only earning two top-twenties as a result. But one of those was a solid 9th place finish at New Oxford, Rhoades career-best.
