Plank Tarts was founded in July 2006 on the Midnight Ocean as a dream of the crew's captain Yoanne as she decided to strike out on her own for an adventure of fame and fortune. It was joined in August 2006 by the merging of the crew First Class Pirates. The flag was later merged with Orion's Blade in 2007 as a means of attempting to increase the fame of Cold Steel. This merger ceased in 2008 with the creation of the crew Chimaera. Additionally, a new crew Pirates of the Winds was created as new Plank Tarts members moved out on their own. Pirates of the Winds re-merged with Plank Tarts in 2009.
