Richard Davies (25th January, 1926 - 8th October, 2015) was a Welsh actor best known for his role as schoolteacher Mr Price in the ITV situation comedy Please Sir!. On Coronation Street he played shopkeeper Idris Hopkins from 1974 to 1975, and his other credits include Fawlty Towers, Not The Nine O'Clock News and Doctor Who.
