Umbrella is a military active protection system (APS) for infantry personnels. It intercepts and destroys incoming projectiles and explosive fragments with a shotgun-like blast. Umbrella is the product of a four-year collaborative development project between the Afterlife Advanced Defense Systems and Grexica Aircraft Industries's Lambda group. Its principal purpose is to supplement the armor of ground soldiers. The design and idea was derived from the Israeli Trophy.
