The First Campsite Anomaly was an Anomaly linking a forest near a campsite in the present day to the Eocene epoch. When this Anomaly opened, a herd of Embolotherium (including a male, at least one calf, and numerous females) came through. Upon locating the Anomaly and containing the Embolotherium herd, the Anomaly Research Centre team began sending the Embolotherium back through the Anomaly. However, the Anomaly closed before the last four Embolotherium could return through, leaving them and the male marooned in the present. (Episode 3.9)
