C-3PO, also known as See-Threepio or Threepio was a protocol droid-a droid that is designed to interact with organics. Threepio was built by Anakin Skywalker to assist his mother Shmi Skywalker although he had to leave C-3PO behind when he left Tatooine to become a Jedi.
