Modifications are creations which can add to some aspect of the game. A select few mods may be available for the Xbox 360, yet using them may result in a permanent ban from Microsoft. Therefore mods are mostly for the PC. With the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, mods were made available for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. In 2017 Bethesda introduced the Creation Club, a feature that allows players to purchase developer sanctioned mods.
