It was originally planned that Killerhurtz would be featured in this game, due to success overseas in American competition BattleBots; however BattleBots owned the merchandising rights to Killerhurtz, so the game designers decided to use the robot that John Reid had recently built for Series 5. As Arenas of Destruction was released prior to the broadcasting of the final heat of Series 5, the game was Terrorhurtz's first appearance.
