A velocity indicator was a type of technology used on Starfleet class 2 shuttles to determine how fast it was going. In 2372, Lieutenant Tom Paris looked at his velocity indicator on the shuttlecraft Cochrane after he had activated the shuttle's transwarp drive. The indicator said that he had reached warp 10 and for a moment, Paris felt he was at every point in the universe. (VOY: "Threshold")
