His brother, Brogan Zur, inspired him with his previous musical talent. He conducted and produced the score with the Northwest Sinfonia Orchestra. Zur also collaborated with singer/songwriter Aubrey Ashburn on the lyrics for the opening theme, as well as the music and lyrics for the elvish ballad “I Am The One,” which plays as the end title track. Zur describes the Dragon Age: Origins soundtrack as "expressing an array of powerful emotions with eloquent dramatic orchestrations and stirring ethereal vocals, the score and songs are crafted and woven to narrate the epic story." Zur also composed the soundtrack for Dragon Age II, but he considered the soundtrack to be a "rush job".
