A Sleep machine was a device used by Mega-City One Justice Department to maximise the amount of time that Judges could work on the streets. Street judges could spend ten minutes in a sleep machine and then return to the streets. Psi-Judge's normal sleep cycle would be sped up by a factor of ten.
