700,000 people were killed as a result of the storm. Almost all survivors of the storms within the city attempted to evacuate. Many fled to Israel, creating an immigration quagmire for the nation. The storms set multiple records and is known as one of the worst in history. The capital of Egypt was transferred to Alexandria, and, following many attempts to salvage the city, Cairo was officially recognize as a no-man's land in 2027.
