Red Harvey is a former NASCAR driver from Dayton, OH. He competed in two Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning top-tens in both efforts. Harvey's first race came in 1950, when Harvey competed at his home track of Dayton. Starting positions in the twenty-eight car field are unknown, but Harvey hounded Dick Linder all day, led one lap, and eventually barely lost to Linder but still finished 2nd. Harvey again ran well when he came to Dayton in 1951. Harvey was again in contention to win the event, but late hub issues in the race sidelined him but still gave him a 10th place finish.
