The Knower of Names, has knowledge of all true names. After seducing her, Mephistopheles used her to expose the treacherous nature of the devil generals who served him. He then bound each of them beneath the ice of Cania and imprisoned the Knower to protect himself from the power of his true name. The Knower can reveal the true name of several major characters, including the protagonist and their henchmen (the protagonist's name being based on their alignment). In order to learn Mephistopheles's true name, the protagonist must ask for the Knower's true name first (Pyreshi the Knower).
