When Alex and Conner try to gather the magical items they need to make the Wishing Spell work, one "ingredient" is the shared crown of the Troll and Goblin kings. "A stony crown that's made to share, found deep within a savage lair." They haven't figured out this part of the Wishing Spell's riddle yet when they are captured and brought into the Troll and Goblin Territory. During their escape, Conner sees the crown and realizes it is one of the items they need, and they steal it from the sleeping kings.
