The plungers were first used by Mario and Luigi when trying to plunge Wobbuffet out of Ash's toilet. Eventually, Mario manages to unclog the toilet, making Wobbuffet fly out onto his face. Mario screams as he uses his gloves to get Wobbuffet off of him while Luigi puts the plunger on his brother's face and starts to plunge it. Luigi eventually plunges Wobbuffet off of Mario's face and he lands in the bathtub.
