The Aslavan civil war was a conflict that took place on Aslava, a planet in Wild Space that was in economic turmoil. The Aslavan government turned into a dictatorship and the Aslavan national coalition was formed! a unit of various rebel groups. Niko Bellic was a child soldier in the government defense forces, the Aslavan gendarme, during the civil war. After it ended as a coalition victory, the Confederacy of Independent Systems intervened and Niko decided to go with them.
