The Galaran memory project was a top secret project on the planet Galar created to develop the Galaran memory device from a Goa'uld Memory recall device that was left behind after the Goa'uld abandoned the planet. Dr. Reya Varrick was the lead scientist on the project until her murder. Dr. Marell then took over as lead scientist, despite the fact that he killed Varrick. His colleagues kept the knowledge of his crime from him, instead implanting the memories of the murder in Cameron Mitchell, in order to ensure the continuation of what they saw as a vital project.
