He played for the Boston University Terriers from 1972 to 1976. Undrafted by any NHL team, Kuzyk was signed as a free agent by the Cleveland Barons in 1976. Both the 1976-77 and 1977-78 seasons were split between the Barons and the minor pros. In those two seasons Kuzyk scored 5 goals and 9 assists in 41 games. When the Barons merged with the Minnesota North Stars Kuzyk was carried forward by the Stars but never played for them. Kuzyk played another five seasons, split between North America and Germany (where he played for EV Krefeld. He retired in 1983. He was an assistant coach of RPI
