Sumo Bros. are large enemies that appear in Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros. U that will stomp their feet on the ground and fire will erupt on the platform under the platform they are on. These characters can only be killed by swinging Mario's cape, a Starman, or a Koopa shell. These dangerous enemies are very rare to encounter. They only appear in two levels. They are called 'Sumo' Bros. because they are considerably large, and look a little like the Hammer Bros.. They also appeared in the Super Mario World TV show.
