The Bel'shan-class was a type of cruiser that saw service with the Cardassian Guard during the 24th century. The class was designed following the occupation of Bajor with the first vessel entering service in 2334. It was designed as a planetary and system conquest, patrol and suppression vessel. Typically a short range vessel over the years its role expanded to include longer range missions.
