The Bag of Scorpions was a sack full of scorpions that was in the possession of the Lone Miner. Upon his death, he mentions that he was saving them for the executioner. Carnby can pick the sack up and after releasing himself from the Executioner's magic, Carnby can drop the scorpions and thus open the door where he came from.
