Mr. Ashwini Gupta received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi in 1974. He completed his MBA from Columbia Business School in 1977. Mr Gupta has worked for American Express Company in New York for over thirty years in a variety of roles. He currently serves as Global President of the Risk Management, Information Management & Banking Businesses, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Express Centurion Bank, and Chief Risk Officer for American Express Company. In this role, Mr Gupta is responsible for the company's global risk management, U.S. information management and privacy functions, as well as the company's U.S. card-issuing banks -- American Express Centurion Bank and American Express Bank, Federal Savings Bank.
