Tenma (天魔, celestial demon) is the name of a Zanpakutō Spirit that once belonged to the Prince of the Royal Family. After his death this sword fell into the hands of his killer and than into the hands of his son, who then lost it while in Hueco Mundo. The pair used their powers to escape the endless desert after spending about 200 years trying to survive. This spirit however became a Tōjū after splitting their powers down the middle and with it, their personality split as well creating Ten (天, celestial) and Ma (魔, demon).
