Joe Valente is a former NASCAR driver from Berkeley, CA. He competed in four Sprint Cup Series events in his career, recording one top-ten. All of those races came in 1954, when Valente debuted at Oakland, finishing a solid 12th despite late mechanical issues. Oakland was Valente's home track, and he competed in two other races there: recording a career-best 9th place effort but then slipping to 28th in his final event there. In his final career race, Valente finished 16th at San Mateo.
