Nancy Madden is the daughter of Eustace Madden and Victoria Madden. Her mother ran away when Nancy was a baby because she was too young to care for her. Nancy loses to Ben in a spelling bee in The Star. In The Lie, Nancy and Ben sneak away at night to Charlottesville to see Victoria Madden, Nancy's mother whom she hasn't met before. Nancy never marries, and is active in Baptist Missionary Work, and sings in the church choir.
