The Ankarax was a reptilian creature native to Fhost. It was frequently used to drag carts and wagons. The citizens of Fhost also used its meat for food, and its hide for leather. In Farpoint, the creatures were so common that pedestrians had to be careful not to step in ankarax droppings. The animals were also well-known for their toughness. Khedryn Faal described The Black Hole's bartender as "tough as an ankarax."
