The intel starship was a starship type conceived in the early 25th century by the Alpha Quadrant Alliance intelligence services, including Starfleet Intelligence and the Klingon Imperial Intelligence. Intel starships were designed for deep-space espionage missions. All intel starship classes were equipped with a cloaking device and quantum slipstream drive. Only flag officer could serves as commanding officers of an intel starship. Intel starships were designed to have an intelligence officer serving on the bridge.
