A Propeller Block is a block as well as an item that appears in the Super Mario series. When Mario grabs one of these, he is able to zoom into the air and hover over areas. The Propeller Block is extremely similar to the Propeller Mushroom, because these two items serve the same purpose: they allow Mario to fly. When Mario picks up a Propeller Block he can also drop it or throw it away. A similar, but different, item known as the Propeller Box debuted in . It acts near-identically to Propeller Blocks, though Mario is capable of hiding within it.
