Harry "Hound" McHounie was an American pilot, and he was the sidekick of his college friend and famous archeologist Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones from 1936 to 1942, when he joined the United States Army Air Forces as a fighter pilot, with his wingman, Lieutenant Frost. He later became a flying ace in 1944. After the war he rejoined Jones in his adventures, but after catching pneumonia after a search for Noah's Ark in the Ararat mountains in 1957, he remained sick for the rest of the year, missing out on Jones's quest for the Crystal Skull. He later recovered, and was able to attend Jones's wedding to Marion Ravenwood.
