The paragons operate outside of the ranks of the good-aligned deities. They have their own celestial agents and many have organizations working for them in Faerûn. They remind their followers constantly that they themselves are not gods and to worship them thus is a sin. They cannot directly grant spells to divine casters but sometimes petition good deities to grant their followers particular spells or allow them access to divine domains. Epic-level followers can also research and cast a spell that would allow them to channel a celestial paragon for a time, in case they have to battle with an archfiend or some other exceptionally powerful evil..
