Katrine Schönhertz was a 24th century Human woman who was an officer in Starfleet. In the early 2350s, she held the rank of commander, and was an instructor at Starfleet Academy. By the early 2360s, she had been promoted to the rank of captain. Prior to her assignment to the Academy, Schönhertz held shipboard assignments, and was remembered by her students for saying "space is mean," and for her unwillingness to return to starship duty.
