Loyal Imperials sided with Palpatine after he returned in 50 ABY. It was they who fought by his side for the War of the Resurrected Emperor. Most of the Empire sided with Palpatine, giving them a distinct advantage in numbers. The Loyal Imperials nearly captured the galaxy, before being defeated at the climatic Battle of Zarnoth. They ceased to exist when the Galactic Empire was reunited.
