The first Emperor of the Scarlet Moon Empire and its founder, Kranach Rugner began life as an aristocrat within the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia. Due to his skill and prowess as a knight, he earned the title "Knight of the Scarlet Moon," which would later inspire the name of his new nation. Originally charged with protecting the Holy City of Rupanda in the Toran region, when the Harmonian Civil War broke out in 230, Kranach siezed the opportunity to rebel against Harmonia in a bloodless coup, thanks to the aid of his strategist Julian Silverberg.
