April was given the egg by Roxy and Charlie in Looking After The Eggs! after she helped look after the place along with Jon, Mary and Drake. Rockruff hatched from the Egg prior to Separated In The Storm. Rockruff became very aggressive before she was ready to evolve into Lycanroc, biting April in the process. After all the other Rockruff at the observatory had evolved into Lycanroc Day, Rockruff went towards the sun standing on a bit of rock with Jangmo-o and begun to evolve when the sun showed some green light. Both Rockruff and Jangmo-o evolved around the same time, giving April's Rockruff the Dusk Form.
