The Dow Jones Industrial Average (in short, Dow) is one of the most significant stock indexes of the world. It was conceived and created by Charles Dow, an editor of the Wall Street Journal and founder of the Dow Jones & Company. It is the oldest stock market index which has continued to remain operational since its inception.
