Linfred of Stinchcombe was a renegade Time Lord and the apical ancestor of the Potter family. At a certain point in his life, Linfred came to earth where he married a woman and had seven children with her. According to a warning left by his eldest son Hardwin, Linfred was an insane man who cared little beyond his family, and saw the rest of humankind as means to attain power. This led to his family turning against him, and using Linfred's own devices to imprison his mind away inside a container, which was then entombed inside a chamber beneath what would become Cadfield House.
