Moonstone Dragons were released on July 18, 2011, alongside Sunstone Dragons during the "Desert Sands" release. Along with Sunstones, they are one of the first two dragon species that were released into specific habitats. Moonstone Dragons also share their egg description with the Sunstone Dragons. Moonstones are notably the second non-holiday dragon species which features feathered wings, the first being White Dragons.
