Wheeljack has had a history with Orion Pax from before the Great War. The inventions he creates often prove to be self-destructive, but at rare moments does Wheeljack strike gold (such as a small battle droid for defense in vehicle mode). Wheeljack was among the group that Optimus Prime created to search for energon when Cybertron ran out of it (the other memebers being Jazz, Ironhide, Prowl, Ratchet, and Bumblebee).
