Jabba Desilijic Tiure, known as Jabba the Hutt, was one of the most notorious Hutt crime lords in the galaxy, who was the head of a large criminal organization based on Tatooine. He was a bitter rival with Besadii member Gardulla Besadii the Elder, and later on, Mika Anjiliac Chiera. He was the father of Rotta, the grandfather of Arok Desilijic Fortiure, father-in-law of Slatia Desilijic Fortiure, and the uncle of Gorga Desilijic Aarrpo and Kolluga Desilijic Fortiure. He was the son of Zorba, and the nephew of Ziro Pazda, Jiliac. He made an alliance with the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order during the Clone Wars. He was killed in 4 ABY, at the Great Pit of Carkoon on his sail barge on Tatooine by Leia Organa.
