The Kaliam Galaxy is a galaxy on the other side of the known universe and was at one time believed to be the location of Abydos. (Stargate) It was later revealed that Abydos is located in the Milky Way and that eight chevrons are needed to reach a Stargate in another galaxy. The conclusion on Abydos' whereabouts was probably inaccurate due to the limited understanding of the Stargate network at the time (SG1: "Children of the Gods", "The Fifth Race"). .
