CUA (formerly Credit Union Australia) is a mutual financial institution in Australia. It employs over 800 staff and serves over 400,000 members through three state offices and over 70 branches and regional centres down the eastern seaboard and in Perth. Founded as the Queensland Postal Co-operative, the first branch was opened in the heart of Brisbane city in 1966. CUA was voted Best Credit Union at the Australian Banking & Finance Awards from 2003 to 2006, and Credit Union of the Year 2007 in Money Magazine's Consumer Finance Awards.
