Gazul Halen is a character featured in the novel, Battlefield 3: The Russian. Halen is the Chief of Intelligence for Faruk Al-Bashir after Al-Bashir came in power in Iran. He is the husband of Darwish's (Dima's Contact) daughter Amara. He was later captured by four GRU agents during Operation Guillotine, but was then killed by Hosseini, a PLR soldier, who was trying to shoot Dima, who used Gazul as a human shield.
