The 28 Dragon Subduing Palms, along with the Dog-Beating Stick is one of the top arts of the Beggar's Sect. However, during the Northern Song Dynasty, the art had 10 of the redundant palms removed and the useful portions of the omitted palms placed into the remaining 18 by Xiao Feng and Xu Zhu. The palms were then renamed the 18 Dragon Subduing Palms and passed onto the next Beggar's Sect Leader by Xu Zhu following Xiao Feng's death. Described as being the most yang and the hardest palm style of its time, practitioners of this set of palms include Xiao Feng, and previous Beggar's Sect leaders.
