The Rim Wars were a conflict sometime prior to 22 BBY between the Hutt Cartel and a number of border worlds rebels who opposed the Hutt rule of the Outer Rim Territories. Luke Lars fought during the war, and he carried a heavy burden because of it. Erlik was also an anti-Hutt rebel before joining the Hutts and becoming Governor of Tatooine.
