The Crossbow Short Range Missile (SRM's) is the most commonly used missile type on Mechs. They travel quickly and reloading time is short. The Crossbow SRM do light impact damage and light explosive damage the explosion radius is very small, almost nothing less then a direct hit will do any damage. They however at maximum upgrade shoot 3 times the missiles in a single trigger pull. And reload 3 times quicker, meaning on some mechs , that swarming enemies is possible with mech with 2 or more Crossbow SRM's firing in a single set. The damage caused by a single missile is low, but the cumulative damage can be catastrophic.
