The Raas were a Saurian species and were one of the inhabitants of the Orion Sector. They were a genetically bred species created by their fellow Saurians to serve as a labor class within society. Being highly productive, they were both used and sold throughout the Orion Sector until the Great War where they achieved their independence. This came by the orchestration of a vast and bloody revolution that ultimately aided the Raas in gaining their freedom. Once this was achieved, they left to found their own society with its own religion and government. Since that time, they had not lost their industrious nature and continue to use it though this time they do it for themselves as they their place in the history of the Orion Sector.
