The champion is the upgraded fifth tier unit of the Knight faction in Heroes of Might and Magic II, recruited from upgraded jousting arenas. They are tied for the fastest unit in the game with the phoenix, and their hit points have improved from their base version, the cavalry, but the rest of their stats remain the same. Therefore, they should still take care about where they attack to avoid enemies concentrating their attacks on them.
